I feel very fortunate to live in this part of New Jersey. We have a variety of State Parks and lakes for recreation. And we have so many amazing farms to buy fresh, local, and in season foods.
There are many farms that I support and many more that I adore and frequent when I can:

Byeburn Farm: http://www.byeburnfarm.com/
My list could go on and on!! Have a question about local farms and I may just have a suggestion!!
I wanted to pass along the below information about a farm I am just amazed by: Howling Wolf Farm is having their Open House this Saturday, August 20th. This is an amazing opportunity to visit this farm and learn about their practices. It is a day you will not want to miss! Please tell them Jessi Sohl from Heart & Sohl Photography sent you!
Here are the details:
You're invited to tour the farm!
Join farmer Matt, Full Food Farm staff and members on Saturday, August 20, for a tour of Howling Wolf Farm. Meet the plants and animals and get a chance to learn deeply about pasture-raised beef, along with vegetables and the farm ecosystem. See and learn how working intuitively with deep care can create food full of life.
Children are welcome and the event is free of charge. Donations to the farm's educational efforts (and upcoming non-profit organization) are welcome.
Farm tours and a food preservation demonstration take place from 1-5pm, with potluck from 5-7pm. Bring local, organic dishes that you like or simply stay to chat, enjoy the farm and good company!
Visit www.howlingwolffarm.com for more information on Howling Wolf Farm Open Houses and other gatherings including Foraging For Life, Full Moon Feasts, and Book Readings.
Thank you, Carol Rice, for Howling Wolf Farm
