Philadelphia Skyline from the Battleship NJ - Heart & Sohl Photography

This year I decided to do something a little different for our Holiday Mini Quick Takes, we took them outside to a local Cut Your Own Christmas Tree Farm in Hardwick, NJ called Kingfisher Farm.

The weather was beautiful! I am thinking this may have to become a tradition!

Country Wedding - Sussex County NJ - Heart & Sohl Photography

We had the pleasure of capturing memories at the most fantastic wedding this weekend!

The bride rode in to the ceremony on her horse with golden toes, there was a doggie ring bearer and the bridal party was driven around on a tractor drawn wagon. And the boots, you can't forget all the awesome boots!

All of this took place at the beautiful Conservatory at the Sussex County Fairgrounds on a perfect May day.

The set is being planned, we are calling it 

"Twinkling Lights".

It will be a dark set, like a night sky with 

cascading "snow" and sparkles. 

The floor will have big fluffy fake snow.

Young and old will enjoy this magical set.

Fall is in the Air! - Heart & Sohl Photography - Hackettstown, NJ

Its beginning to feel like Fall. The leaves are slowly beginning to shift and change into a beautiful spectrum of color.  There is something so magical about the seasons changing.

I had such a wonderful time with this little 4 year old. She has such an 

amazing personality. It was the perfect way to welcome Fall.

Summertime

Like most parents the Summer can go by very quickly and very slowly all at the same time.

This year our oldest will be going into Second Grade and our youngest into Kindergarten.

My kids attend an amazing public charter school called Ridge & Valley Charter School in Blairstown, NJ.  It has been an amazing experience for us, and I look forward to seeing how this school and its amazing focus foster a love of learning in my youngest. 

As most parents, there are days I find myself nearly pulling my hair out over the Summer. Its bound to happen being with them 24/7 for 60+ days. And then 

there are days, like today, where I want to make the time slow down.

We've had a fun Summer so far, with a trip to Lakota Wolf Preserve, Knoebel's, and Field Station Dinosaur. Along with a lemonade stand, picnics and fireworks.

 

To take full advantage of every remaining moment, I will be going on hiatus from Aug 21-Sept 5th returning to the office on Sept 6th.

This time will be filled with creating a shelter out of recycled pallets, camping, swimming, hitting the beach, hiking and being with friends.

I encourage you all to make the most of what remains of the Summer!

I'm looking forward to all the upcoming Fall and Holiday sessions this year! Weekends are booking up quickly, so be sure to get your time scheduled shortly!
